Vadalia Onion BBQ Sauce

Anchored out and no BBQ sauce? Here’s one you can make on your stove top.
No garlic cloves onboard? Substitute 1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder or minced dried garlic

Ingredients
1 medium-size sweet vadalia or yellow onion, finely chopped
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation
1. Stir together all ingredients and 1/2 cup water in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes.

Yield: Makes about 2 1/2 cups (serving size: 1 tbsp.)
